The County of San Diego’s Department of Registrar of Voters (ROV) is currently accepting applications for Coordinator, Volunteer and Public Services (
Voter Outreach Option – Chinese language).
If selected, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and marketing voter outreach plans and programs to increase voter participation. “Click here” for more information and a direct link to the County of San Diego, Department of Registrar of Voters.
This option is characterized by its specialized nature relative to election programs that are targeted to minority language and voters with special needs.
This option is characterized by its Qualified Candidates who are:
Proficient in both the English and Chinese language; AND,
- An associate’s degree from an accredited U.S. college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency in a social science, communications or a closely related field, AND three (3) years of paid experience developing and implementing promotional programs; OR,
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency in a social science, public relations, public administration, marketing, communication or a closely related field AND one (1) year of paid experience developing and implementing promotional programs.
Note: Additional years of experience as described above may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis; OR, completion of appropriate course work from an accredited college or university may substitute for the experience requirement on a year-for-year basis. Experience working in an election environment, conducting elections by working in a campaign, working in a Registrar of Voters office, working in elections monitoring for community organizations, or related experience are highly desirable.
